Here’s the thing they don’t tell you about Chia Pets: You have to clean up after them. Particularly if they were planted by 4- and 6-year-olds who were a bit sloppy with the seeds. The seeds eventually slime up the container below the pet, which means that you’ll eventually have to carry the whole thing across the kitchen and hope the swill doesn’t spill on the floor.

This is almost as bad as changing a litter box.

And, yes, the window is to the left of the plants. How did you guess?
