Off we go into the wild blue yonder
Sunny skies, highs only in the 80s, a slight breeze and a perfect day at a little boy fantasy land filled with police cars, fire engines, ambulances and airplanes.
Mostly airplanes. Lots of airplanes.
Though Castle Air Museum, in Atwater in California’s Central Valley, regularly features more than four dozen aircraft, only one day a year do the static displays come to life and visitors are allowed to explore the historic planes.
This year, that day was Sunday.
